iTravex Documentation

Every reservation conducted through iTravex is independent of each other. iTravex is NOT a regular home exchange where two home owners agree to mutually swap their personal homes at exactly the same time. iTravex members are NOT required to do a direct trade or straight swap of one another's vacation homes.

The best and most unique feature of the iTravex program is that the guest and host DO NOT need to arrange to travel at the same time.

A host receives iTravex points for hosting a guest, and in turn those earned points can then be used by the host at any time for any property listed on the iTravex site. Earned points can be saved to be used later or they can be used immediately for travel to any vacation home anywhere in the world of iTravex.

With iTravex, you simply decide when and where you want to travel. This allows iTravex Members to choose a property that suits their needs, their travel dates and most importantly, their destination!

Vacation Home vs Personal Home
Your Vacation Home is already in a "rental mode", so there is no need to:

secure your personal valuables for fear of losing them;
make room in your cupboards, drawers, freezer, fridge and medicine cabinet;
prepare a 'Home Info' kit (vacuum cleaner, irons, water shut-off, repairman, neighbors/relatives, manuals ...) for your visitor; or
make arrangements for utilities, sporting equipment, damage ...

Unlike a 'Timeshare'

You already own your vacation home (an investment that is likely to increase in value) and don't have to spend thousands on a block of holiday time that will steadily depreciate with time.
iTravex has no on-going fees ... whereas, timeshare annual maintenance fees must be paid every year, even if you don't take a holiday.
iTravex has one simple reasonable guest Reservation Fee. Timeshare has an annual maintenance fee (often increasing substantially faster than inflation), an annual membership fee to the exchange company and the actual exchange fee.
iTravex allows you to select any destination in the world. Timeshare exchanges works on “a value for value” basis ... to trade for the best weeks at the nicest resorts you must have something similar to offer in return. You cannot trade off-season weeks for prime time. You cannot swap a low quality resort for first class luxury.
iTravex provides you with the confidence of viewing the availability ... no hidden booking systems. Most timeshare members are unable to get the holiday they were promised.
